British Kendama Championships
The BJC is proud to be hosting the very first British Kendama Championships on Saturday at 12pm, brought to you by the British Kendama Association.
Kendama is new to the UK juggling scene, and currently enjoying a rapid gain in popularity. What is it? To quote Mini Mansell, "Think 'cup and ball', with more cups, a spike, and crazy Japanese rules." If that's not clear enough, check out the compulsory tricks in the competition. They start easy….
The judges will be awarding the titles "British Kendama Champion" and "British U-16 Kendama Champion" (that's not to say an under 16 player couldn't win both titles!) and there will be a prize for the winner of the Speed Trick Challenge.
The Kendamaists will also be hosting various workshops throughout the convention, and if you look around the BJC very carefully you may even catch a glimpse of a Unicorn or two.
