Workshops
We have beginner workshops in all the usual juggling and circus skills, from three ball tricks and diabolo through to club swinging, acro and more.
Some other workshop highlights include:
- Peter Irish - Simultaneous juggling with hands and feet — from a footbag world champion.
- Pro Drop - Multiplex in 2/4 count passing and feeds.
- Sharpe Brothers - A variety of diabolo workshops. The Sharpe Brothers are two of the hottest diaboloists on the planet, all the way from the US, and their workshops are not to be missed!
- Rachel Black - Hoola Dance.
- Physiomonkey - Juggling and Injury Prevention.
and much, much more!
We also have a lineup of workshops for those of you who have started dipping a toe into performing, or who are looking into getting into it - in fact we probably have something here for even the seasoned performer:
- Tim Woolliscroft doing an introduction to performing
- Wes Peden on linking tricks, sequences and routines
- Erik Borgman on improving presentation of tricks and routines
- Nigel Jones on tax, contracts, insurance, and other mundane but important aspects of turning pro.
We also have some workshops on the wild, wacky and different, so if you want to learn how to knit, climb, put a nail up your nose, play bridge, or make instruments out of vegetables — you're in luck. Anyone who wants to join in the BJC Stitch'n'Bitch: if you can bring along some acrylic yarn in dk/sport weight, and some needles or hooks (any size), that would be great. If you don't have any and just fancy a go, don't worry, there will be some spare that you can use.
Finally, the Balloon Modelling convention and the Kendama Championships will of course have their own specialist workshops.
